The Elohim were an ancient pantheon who dwelt in Earth millions years of ago. They are considered to be the earliest gods and goddesses of Earth.
History[]
The Elohim appeared shortly after the emergence of proto-human life, hailing from various ethereal "dimensions." According to Oliver Haddo, the Elohim may have originated from an omnipotent entity; the God of Abraham may have been this singular being, or may have merely been one among many Elohim. These early entities and their subordinate host of angels interbred with early humanity, creating supernatural bloodlines that would have great impact over the aeons.
Several millennia after their arrival, the Elohim began to gradually lose their powers and degenerated into the lesser powerful Elder Gods. Around this time, Earth's material realm was invaded by the malevolent Great Old Ones. A great war was fought between the Elder Gods and Great Old Ones which ended in the invading entities defeated and sealed away for millions of years. Consequently, the war reduced the Elder Gods even further, creating relatively brutish, unsophisticated tribal deities such as Crom and much later the Titans, other prototypical giant races, and the classical gods of Earth's prehistory.
Mary Poppins may be an Elohim, if her claim to be the God of the Bible is true.
