Limehouse is a district in East London, England, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is on the northern bank of the River Thames opposite Rotherhithe and between Ratcliff to the west and Millwall to the east.
In 1898, Limehouse's China Town was the headquarters of the Chinese triad lord known as The Doctor. It became the site of a aerial battle between The Doctor and Professor James Moriarty. Following after, Limehouse recovered from the damages and yet strangely absent of looters and opportunists due to the influence of The Doctor, who posed himself as a local philanthropist. In 1948, during the Big Brother era, Limehouse was purged and forcing The Doctor to flee.
